1973: Opening of the first MAREDO Restaurants in Berlin.The founders Manfred Holl, Karl-Heinz Reinheimer and Udo Schlote have decided to open a Steak Restaurant on the Berlin Kudamm. The name MAREDO comes from the initial two letters of the names of each of the founders.
1989: Opening of the 20th MARDO Restaurant in GermanyMAREDO continues to expand and reaches a strong presence all over Germany due to clever strategical site choices.
1996: Opening of the first MAREDO Restaurant in AustriaThe first MAREDO Restaurant opens in Vienna. It quickly acquires a good reputation among steak fans in the Austrian capital.
2001: Realignment of MAREDONow the company focuses on high-quality steaks from South America. Apart from the high quality of the steaks from Argentina and Uruguay, the topics ‚Natural Breeding’ and ‚Animal Welfare’ become increasingly important.
